Polywood® shutters are not only a completely recyclable shutter, but they are also made of up to 20% recycled Polywood content. We’re the only shutter company in Philadelphia or even America that does that.

Sunburst supports green design, products, and buildings. We reuse any and all materials whenever possible. We recycle water that cools down components as they’re coming out of ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and recycle them into new shutters. Every year we recycle hundreds of tons of materials.

When we prepare our window treatments to be transported to your residence for installation, we insert reusable corner pieces on the louvers’ edges and use the least amount of cardboard to package the shutters.

Our interior shutters are coated with patented paints that are environmentally safe and hypoallergenic. In our manufacturing process, our paints don’t give off fumes. When we say our paints are safe, we mean it.
